Eco-Schools Awards - Silver Eco-Schools empowers pupils, raises environmental awareness, improves the school environment and creates financial savings for schools. It engages the wider local community. In the future, we hope to work towards the Eco-Schools Gold Award.
Healthy Schools Award The Healthy Schools Award shows the schools commitment to empowering the school community to improve the health and wellbeing in order to enable all people to live healthy, happy and fulfilling lives. The awards promotes our whole school approach to the following areas: mental health and wellbeing healthy eating physical activity PSHE
Inclusion Quality Mark To achieve this award a school must demonstrate their commitment to outstanding levels of inclusive best practice. Within the report it commented that: “Inclusion lies at the heart of the Academy and Leaders remain driven by their inclusive moral purpose. All Staff, Parents and Trustees are committed to inclusion.”
National Online Safety - Certified School This award certifies that a whole-school community approach in online safety is being undertaken through empowering our leaders, teachers, governors, staff and parents/carers. An effective community approach to online safety aims to protect and educate pupils in their safe use of the internet and technology, whilst enabling trusted adults with the essential information to identify online risks and escalate any incident where appropriate. This certification exists alongside our computing and e-safety curriculum in line with the National
Music Mark School Our school has received a Certificate of Recognition for our commitment to high-quality music education. This achievement is a result of our dedicated and talented staff, and students alongside the support of the Lion Learning Pathways. We as a school community nurture the love of music in our children through the RockSteady Band, Voice in a Million, weekly choir and recorder club!
Quality Mark Award for Early Years The Early Years Quality Mark is awarded in recognition of a school's ‘good’ provision, practice and performance in children’s learning of communication, literacy and mathematics in the Early Years.
School Games - Silver Award The School Games Mark is a government-led awards scheme launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Participating in this process allows schools to evaluate their PE provision and assists them in developing an action plan for future progress.
United Against Bullying Programme The United Against Bullying programme is the Anti-Bullying Alliance’s whole-school anti-bullying programme. It supports schools to reduce bullying and improve the well-being of all children, focusing on those most at risk. The overall aim of the programme is to establish United Against Bullying Schools. We are a school that has evidenced our work to reduce bullying and improve the well-being of all pupils through intervention and a consistent approach by the teaching staff.
